- Ongoing efforts to going paperless. As of 2016 all invoices and tickets are electronic. Faxes are received and sent in an e-format
- Recycle bins for organics and paper in our office
- All itineraries have ecological information showing carbon footprint for that the trip calculated by an ICAO carbon calculator.
Giving Back
Since the year 2000, we eliminated client Christmas gifts and instead the funds are donated to various non-profit organizations such as:
- Covenant House — providing shelter, food, immediate crisis care, and an array of other services to homeless and runaway youth.
- St James Academy — SJMA provides classical music education to at-risk children and youth, and the music does its magic. The children engage
- United Way — through our clients various individual fund-raising programs.
- Lions Gate Hospital Fund — LGHF has launched a 100 million campaign to build a new Medical & Surgical Centre. This year HB Travel, through its donation of 2 free tickets and hotel for a week in Amsterdam raised over $350,000 towards this goal.
- Lake Babine Nation – Donating to their annual events for over 20 years.

- Nanaimo Hospital — Funding for new wing
